Technisat Skystar2 KuBand switch problem

There are a lot of Technisat Skystar 2 DVB PCI cards that are unable to switch between the both Ku-Bands using universal LNBs (frequencies from 11700 Mhz and up) the reason for most of this problems is a coil that has been damaged due a shortcircuit in the cable (usually). This coil has been replaced by Albert Houwer and write a short document for anybody that wants to do the replacemente. Download the Coil Replacement SkyStar2.PDF file with images and do it yourself.

It happends again

A few minutes ago a friend has confirmed that spanish D+ provider Conditional Access System has been crushed again at least on DreamBox.

PS: Confirmed... not only on Dreambox...
